Shea Moisture Weightless Styling Mousse: I love this stuff for curly hair, because it has taken me awhile to find curly hair products that don't have a bunch of yucky chemicals in them. Also, I had tried a couple different Shea Moisture products but 1 made my hair sticky and 1 made it greasy, so I had almost given up on those. Until this. But now I have to keep using the Target app to find which Target in Louisville has it in stock - only 2 of the 8 or 9 stores do, so I need to make a trip to the edge of town to get more.
Beautycounter Mattifying Skin Finishing Powder: I didn't realize how much I love/need this product until mine just ran out. Now I need to order some from my sister STAT. My skin tends to get oily later in the day, and this is the perfect thing to brush on. It's WAY lighter than any other powder, it's not colored (it's white so it's for any skin color) and it goes on perfectly with that fluffy brush. I usually use it after my foundation and to lightly blend in my blush in the mornings. Also, added bonus: You can totally brush it onto your hair and use as a dry shampoo. (insert party emojis here!)
Beautycounter Protect Broad Spectrum All over Sunscreen (SPF 30): Let me tell you how great this stuff is...I've tried some other safe sunscreens this summer, and while they work ok, they just feel like I'm wiping glue onto my skin. This stuff is light, it goes on anywhere (including your face) and it works SO well. I know it's only SPF 30 but I have not burned once using it as long as I reapply every so often - even at the beach in June. It's the best.
Piperwai Natural Deodorant: OK. I was doing just fine and dandy using my Pure Haven Essentials deodorant for awhile, but then summer hit. It wasn't totally enough so I started alternating and using another brand I found out at the store (Via Nature brand Lavender Eucalyptus Enzyme formula), and before I knew it my armpits were burning, itching, and broken out into weird rashes. I was slightly embarrassed trying to go to the pool or on dates with my itchy armpits, and of course I didn't want to sweat or stink either. I tried Nourish Organic's unscented kind, and it just left a sour smell I couldn't handle, so I ordered Piperwai from their website (it started as a product on Shark Tank). This stuff works SO well. I haven't broken out from it. It smells great. My only complaint is that you have to dig your fingers into the pot and then rub it in and it gets stuck under my fingernails every morning, so I hate that part, but it's worth it because it works. If they can reformulate it into a stick I will be SO happy.
Root Pretty Pearl Powder Mineral Foundation/Eyeshadow (Holland): Let me tell you how much I appreciate this company...I had ordered a few things (around a $50 order) back in June and it was supposed to arrive at my house before I left on a trip. The tracking number showed it had delivered but I never saw it...so I'm afraid it got stolen off of my front porch while I was away that day. I emailed the company and they totally RESHIPPED it to me for no cost! They're amazing. I love this mineral foundation as my concealer. I use Beautycounter foundation all over my face because it's light, and then I use my Root Pretty brush and use this mineral foundation powder under my eyes (it's the only thing that covers my dark circles) and to cover any breakouts on my face, and voila! It's great! Also, this eyeshadow color in Holland is so pretty - they had sent me a sample (you get a free sample of stuff with every order) and I loved the color so much I ordered it. As for foundation colors you can order $2 samples of colors to try before you buy the whole thing so you know it will match! Root Pretty - you're so great!
